In the broadband analyst firm's most recent report, Point Topic revealed that VoIP services were the most financially valuable solutions to contribute to the growing value-added services market in 2010. The overall VAS market experienced a 14 percent increase from 2009 to 2010, growing from $129 billion to $157 billion.
The revenues from VoIP systems, not including over-the-top services, contributed the most to the VAS market, with more than $17 billion, according to Point Topic. In total more than 120 million users had subscribed to VoIP systems by the end of 2010.
"The trend we've observed since 2003 reflects the fact that more people are doing more things via their broadband connection," said John Bosnell, a senior analyst at the research firm. "We estimate that at the end of 2010 each broadband line supported an average of 1.95 value-added services. That’s almost four times the average in 2003."
According to a report by Infonetics Research, the VoIP market is expected to continue to grow, eventually exceeding $76 billion in revenue in 2015. This may indicate that more individuals and business will be using their broadband to access the voice services, especially as the Federal Communications Commission expands high-speed internet access to more Americans.

LightBound Hosted VoIP PBX - Tips and Tricks
How do I transfer a call to someone's voicemail?
1. While on an active call, click and hold the call details within the Personal window
2. Drag the call to the voicemail icon attached to every contact within the Contacts window
3. Release the mouse button and the call transfers immediately into the target user's voicemail
How do I perform a blind transfer?
Most IP Phones that LightBound sells support the ability to perform a blind transfer. Regardless of your model of phone, blind transfers are performed by the following actions:
1. Press the Xfer key or the Trnsfr key located either on the LCD as a 'soft' key or as a hardkey physically on the phone
2. Dial the target Extension
3. Press the Xfer key or the Trnsfr key once again before the other party answers the phone
Polycom SoundPoint 320/330 Instructions
These two phones work a bit differently:
1. While on a call, the "Trans" softkey will be on the screen. Press the button under it, then a new menu will appear on the screen. It will have the options "Normal", "Cancel" and "Blind".
2. Choose "Blind" and enter the extension/phone number. The call will then be sent and the Caller-ID will be the one of the party calling in. You do not need to choose the "Trans" key a second time.
Programmable Keys - Polycom
Polycom phones support speed dial configuration via the phone's interface.
Configure Speed Dial Keys
1. Press Menu
2. Press 1 Features
3. Press 1 Contact Directory
4. Press Add
5. Fill out the settings
1. Scenario #1 - Speed Dial an Employee
2. Fill out the Employees First and Last name in the appropriate fields
3. Type in the Employee's extension in the Contact field
4. Leave the Speed Dial Index at the default value (increments automatically)
5. Press Save
6. The configured speed dial will appear as Line 2 (for the first contact) and increment with each new configured speed dial (Line 3, Line 4, etc)
7. Scenario #2 - Speed Dial Park/Voicemail/Other System Extension
8. For First and Last name - enter whatever text will help you easily identify the speed dial function (e.g. if you want to speed dial Park, type in Park and leave the other name field blank)
9. Type in the system extension (Park = 9000, Voicemail = 8555, Group Intercom = *74+Group Extension, etc.). Remember you can only type in ONE extension per speed dial key

The configured speed dial will appear as Line 2 (for the first key) and increment with each new configured speed dial
6. When you are finished configuring all your speed dial keys, press the Menu button to return to the default screen
Executing a Speed Dial
1. Press the button - the phone will dial the extension you configured.
Executing a Speed Dial to a System Extension
Customers commonly wish to speed dial Park. Once you setup Park as a speed dial on your phone, you can quickly transfer callers to Park via the following sequence:
1. Press the softkey Txfr (may be labeled Trnsfer on some versions of Polycom firmware)
2. Press the Park speed dial key you previously configured
3. Listen for the Parking extension
4. Hangup
5. Inform the destination party of the parked extension
6. That person should dial that extension (e.g. 9001) from their own phone to reconnect with the caller
